Overview

LexFloatServer is the licensing server software that leases floating licenses to your app. It is typically installed on a computer in your customer's local network. If you have multiple products, each product requires its own instance of LexFloatServer.

LexFloatServer is lightweight and fast, so it runs well even on an old machine connected to the local network.

LexFloatServer requires the Microsoft Visual C++ runtime, which is included by default on newer Windows versions. Only on older Windows versions do you need to install the latest Visual C++ Redistributable before running the server.

Downloading LexFloatServer

You can download LexFloatServer from the SDK Downloads page in the admin portal. Binaries are available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
